Big Dill

Energy Rice

This rice has BDE - Big Dill Energy! With 2.5 cups of rice and 1 cup of dill you’ve got a dill’icious pairing with salmon+lemon, grilled chicken, or eggplant. A serving is about a half cup of dry rice, so this is great for the entire family or future you.

Ingredients rice, dill, onion, kosher salt, chives, cumin, garlic

Instructions

    • Rice cooker Pour entire contents of the jar into your rice cooker or mix in a separate container to make only a portion of the recipe. We stick with the rule of thumb to do a 2:1 ratio of water to rice. If making an entire jar add 5 cups of water (about 1.5 jars full). Cook rice according to your rice cooker’s directions for white rice. You’ll notice after cooking the dill and spice have come to the top, just mix thoroughly before serving. If too salty, then add lemon or an acid to cut.
    • Stovetop No rice cooker, no problem. Grab a pot with a lid or use a heavy baking sheet if you don’t have a lid. Bring water to a boil in a 2:1 ratio of water to rice. If making the whole jar (2.5 cups rice) bring 5 cups of water to a boil (about 1.5 jars full). Once boiling add rice, stir, reduce heat to a simmer, and cover. After 17 min check on rice to ensure water is absorbed and rice is tender. It may take up to 25 min to cook if making the full jar. Mix thoroughly before serving and squeeze lemon juice over to taste.
