Blue Magic Stroganoff
Hello Local. Hello Delicious. Hello Magic. Our Blue Magic Stroganoff features locally sourced, meaty, earthy Blue Oyster Mushrooms from Smallhold in Buda, TX. We combine these yummy mushrooms with a creamy, spice-kissed sauce that is magic on its own or with beef. Four servings per jar.
Ingredients fusilli, organic blue oyster mushrooms, whole milk powder, heavy cream powder, sour cream powder, cornstarch, parsley, thyme, onion, garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, mushroom powder, beef base, mustard powder
Instructions
- Slow cooker Pour jar contents into your slow cooker and add 2-4 cups of water based on desired thickness of cream sauce. Stir to combine ingredients. One serving is about ~½ cup of dried pasta, so half the jar is about 2 servings and only needs 1-2 cups of water. Cook on high for 30-45 min. Stir and check on the tenderness of noodles every 15 min. Add more water if the sauce consistency is too thick. Stir well before serving. The blue oyster mushrooms have a meaty consistency, but this recipe goes well with beef or soy curls.
- Stovetop Bring 4-5 cups of water to a boil and add pasta, then reduce heat to simmer. Fusilli is a dense noodle and will take up to 15 min to cook. Cook until just below desired tenderness. In a separate pot rehydrate mushrooms in hot water or broth for 15-20 min. Leave remaining water in the pasta pot and add the rest of the jar contents and mushrooms. Mix all together and cook for another 5 min or until the cream sauce is desired consistency.
